Principal’s Message
Orlando Gifted Academy Families:
The OGA team has been extremely busy preparing for the 2026-2027 school year this summer. Our enthusiastic office staff has been registering new families, ordering needed materials, and updating student files. Our hard-working custodians have spent the summer thoroughly cleaning the facility. Our dedicated teachers have been actively engaged in summer professional development activities and collaborative planning sessions. And our much-appreciated PTSA is gearing up to welcome both new and returning families and planning exciting events and programs throughout the year.
Our theme for this school year is “Framing the Future”. This theme will serve as a guide to continue integrating the Florida Framework for Gifted Learners into the structure of our daily work at OGA through intentional, explicit connections that support our teaching and learning systems, in parallel with the timeline for the opening of a new OGA campus in 2028. The demolition of the Fern Creek campus has commenced. In the weeks and months ahead, a concrete foundation will be laid, the walls will rise, the supporting joists will be secured, and the framing of our new learning space will create a one-of-a-kind environment where the building becomes a learning tool.
Upcoming events:
I look forward to welcoming you all on August 6th during Meet the Teacher!
Sincerely,
Mr. Maguire
Principal
