OGA named Magnet School of America School of Excellence
Orlando Gifted Academy has been named a Magnet School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America, the national association for magnet and theme-based schools, for the second consecutive year!

This honor has been earned through strong alignment with vision and three years of successfully narrowing performance gaps through innovative practices to address the specific needs of the learners we serve. Additionally, Orlando Gifted Academy demonstrates a strong commitment to diversity and to the extensive integration of cross-cultural curriculum, supported by effective parent involvement and specialized, theme-aligned community partnerships. I am extremely proud of the dedication and effort of our Staffulty, families, and, most importantly, our students in making OGA an amazing place to learn.
Presentation of Excellence Award:
Orlando Gifted Academy will be recognized and receive a Magnet School of Excellence Award during an awards ceremony held at Magnet Schools of America’s National Conference, April 14-17, 2026, in San Diego.
To receive a National Merit Award, members of Magnet Schools of America must submit a detailed application, which is scored by a panel of educators. These schools are judged and scored on their demonstrated ability to raise student academic achievement, promote racial and socioeconomic diversity, provide integrated curricula and instruction, and create strong family and community partnerships that enhance the school’s magnet theme.
